it is late and i am lazy....
Hence this will be a very short update. Life is going on in that on-going way it does, without much...um...going on. Oh, except the threat of Mom getting sued, but I very much doubt that's going to happen. It's a long story, which can be boiled down to: people are really stupid sometimes.
I've been doing very little lately--just work, reading (have I mentioned lately how much I love Terry Pratchett?), watching anime, etc. Life is boring, in fact, but that's okay.
And now, of course, Shocking Tales from Customer Service!!
Last week was true. Well, I don't know if Michael Dell is actually dyslexic, but the small business division is indeed called BSD.
This week: This'll be a little short because I'm feeling lazy, like I said, and OMG it's already after 1 AM...so anyway. True or False.
One of the weirdest calls I ever got was a woman calling in to find out what the charge was on her credit card. This in itself is not all that strange, inasmuch as people apparently often forget from one month to the next what computers they buy. No, this was strange because when the woman read me the little description that is next to charges on your credit card statment, it clearly said that the order was for something from Gateway. I politely pointed this out to the woman and she refused to believe me, because "oh, I only buy Dells" (I felt like saying, look, if you can't remember how you spent thousands of dollars a couple of months ago, I don't really trust your ability to be brand loyal). It took ten minutes of searching to convince her that it wasn't a Dell order, and then she was all snippy because of how long it took. Some people....
Huh. Actually, that wasn't all that short, was it?
And now I'm *really* tired. Night, all!
