A quote from Maine's Governer Baldacci about the transition from analog to digital TV broadcasts (emphasis added):

"As we did during the ice storm ten years ago, we ask Mainers to reach out to their friends and family to make sure they understand the changes that are coming, and to help them overcome the technological challenges of this transition."

Digital TV=devastating ice storm.

Way to go, Baldacci's speechmaker.

I just find that hilarious.

Can't blame them too much. Every local news station is running specials and/or releasing DVDs. Odd as it is ... it's a current topic. Still, not a fair comparison, but none the less effective.
