So, because of a competition thing at work, I got an Amazon.com gift certificate. My first thought was that I'd get a volume of manga (this is me we're talking about here, right?) However, the manga section puzzled me so much I gave up on the idea. For example....
A Few Things that Confuse Me About Amazon's Manga section:
1. Why do they list it as 'anime and manga dvds'? Seriously, they do.
2. In what way is 'Embracing Love' a fantasy? (Except in the sense that quite a bit of yaoi manga is fantasy...)
3. Why, in God's name, is Eiken considered sci-fi? New and futuristic options in breast enhancement surgery?
Plus, I prefer buying manga in stores, somehow....whatever. I'll just get a case for my iPod. Um...it just occurred to me that I may have forgotten to mention that I got myself an iPod in February? Maybe? I don't remember....I was keeping it a secret because I knew my mom would have wanted me to save the money...but I had wanted one forever, so I got one! It's basically the same as K's except unnamed. I try to avoid the anthropomorphism these days.
(True story: when I was around 9 years old, I was writing something one day and my pencil started to get very dull. Right in front of me was a sharp pencil, but I didn't put mine down and start using this other one...because it would have hurt the first pencil's feelings. This is what made me stop assigning human characteristics to inanimate objects.)
Look at my lack of anything to talk about today. Work, eh. Perhaps I will post a mini-review of MeruPuri later. Hmm....
Later, all!
