I think they've officially given up on the work-study kids because the number of jobs listed on the Portal suddenly increased dramatically. I applied for one--let's see what happens.
Classes are going well. Biology is starting to freak me out because 1) I have to memorize a ton of stuff and 2) I have to write lab reports. Scaaary....but both Poli Sci classes are going wel, and I find that I understand and enjoy microeconomics SO much more than macro, which helps. Also, Kato is awesome.
B 'tutors' Chinese on Wednesday nights, but no one ever shows up so I usually hang out with him after class and we do our Chinese homework together. This past Wednesday we got distracted and spent 45 minutes looking up:
脱氧核糖核酸
Which means, by character, 'to shed', 'oxygen', 'core', 'sugar', 'core', and 'acid'. Put it together and what do you get? Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA. We are such geeks.
The first activity of R.I.O.T. commenced last night--it was amazing! Best birthday party I ever had....and for those of you who are going 'wait, her birthday isn't for three weeks! And what is R.I.O.T?' well, I'll explain later.
