sinister in a state of hope
Aug. 18th, 2007 01:37 pmBack at 'Gate as of yesterday! And the drive was quite manageable, mostly because I actually got sleep the night before and then started out fairly early in the morning. (As in, 4:30 AM). But it worked well! Got back to campus a little before 2 and had time to pretty much completely unpack and then go grocery shopping for dinner. Matt J. is back as well (theater camp, woo!) and he had Jess W. over for dinner--she was really tired because she's been doing this RA camp thing, but it was still fun. The theater freshmen are moving in today, so our official 'counselor duties' start this afternoon.
I can't even express how great it is to be back. I had forgotten how gorgeous 'Gate is in the summertime....plus I now have access to high speed internet again, which is very cheering. It's also great to have plenty of time to unpack--I left Shannon's side of the room bare so she can put up posters and so on, but my half of the room is the usual explosion of geekiness. I put my Labyrinth poster across from the door so the first thing you see when you walk in is David Bowie staring at you ^_^ I think Shannon will appreciate that.
Maybe I should go organize the kitchen >_> It's difficult, though, when I don't know what anyone else is bringing. I did ask, but no one responded to my email..... *sigh* Anyway, later, all!
