amatyultareI should probably be working on my research paper right now. On the other hand, I just got back and I'm kind of tired. Ah, lack of motivation.
Briefly, the highlights of my Thanksgiving break.
•Continuing illness That weird cold thing? Still hasn't really gone away. It progressed from a really bad cough (the drive home on Tuesday) to a bad cough AND stuffiness (Wednesday and Thursday) and back to mild stuffiness, a little coughing, and a mysterious lack of a voice (Friday and today). At least I'm feeling better!
•Car issues I'm almost starting to hate my car. About an hour and half after I started my drive home, I got a spectacular flat tire. I was able to find a place to get it replaced, but...grr. The battery issue has subsided, however.
•Thanksgiving dinner was yummy, although I could hardly taste it due to the aforementioned cold-type thing.
•Work done--not a whole lot. I have about 2 pages of my 15 page research paper, in rough format. Which is why I should be working on the paper now, instead of updating LJ.
•My time at home was otherwise uneventful, except for when E dragged me into town to one of the bars and we drank and she convinced me to play a buck-hunting game. Remarkably hick-sketchy, I know. Also, note to self: central ME is not near the Great Lakes. It is a lot drier in the winter than central NY is. Bring moisturizer.
•The drive back was fine though a bit tiring.
•Now perhaps I will work on my paper. Or maybe get dinner? Decisions, decisions.

P.S. The next two weeks are going to be crazy busy so no one be surprised if I completely disappear for some time.
