Where to begin....I guess I've been fairly productive so far this week, which is good. Had a meeting with Kim Russell about our movie showings (besides the Thursday night movies, we'll probably be able to do a Saturday morning showing of Animal House during Spring Party Weekend--who suggested that? I forget now, but it's a great idea). Thursday, Laura and I will be meeting with the Anime Society CLSI advisor about everything. And we also now have a room for Anime Cafe that is *not* the townhouse (no one came last semester because it was so far away *cries*).

Lucy and I have a radio show on WRCU! Blame Lucy for this entirely; she talked me into it after applying on her own for the show. The time slot is Fridays from noon to 1 PM (EST, of course), if anyone is free to listen. The music will basically be whatever we feel like playing, and that doesn't have any swearing or sexual innuendo.

RIOT (Random Instances Of Theater) can actually get funding this semester, and Allie has a number of evil plans...I'm not sure when the BAC presentation date is, but once we actually have money, we have so many ideas. First event will probably be at the Coop during Valentine's Day, FYI. Other than that, I'm *currently* not involved in theater, as someone else took over the ASM spot for Student Theatre. However, I may be doing props for University Theater (am I never to be free???) and/or helping Chelsea H. with costumes for ST (seeing as she's also stage manager for UT, which has, as she put it, "ruined her life").

In other non-academic news, I officially am continuing the Colgate otaku tradition of working in the mail center. It's just too bad it couldn't be Laura F, as that would be perfect (that would make it every president of Anime Society). Yay job!

Homework? What's that? No, seriously, everything is going well. Right now all I have are reading assignments and Chinese work. Chinese is tough but doable, and the reading assignments are generally interesting and go quickly. I really ought to start thinking about research topics, though. I'm considering suggesting to my International Econ and International Political Economy professors that I do a longer research paper combining those two classes. (I know just what I'd do, too: possible connections between political and economic relations between Taiwan and the PRC. Very political-economic, but with a lot of straight economic factors as well.)

But, speaking of homework, I should go get some done. Later, all!

EDIT I almost forgot to mention--people cleaned up the townhouse this weekend! Voluntarily! I am soooo happy, and the townhouse looks good!

psst . . . talk to your advisor about getting that shelf for anime storage ;) You know what would be nice, though? If they would bring back Cecilie's so Anime Cafe could actually be in a cafe again. Ahhhh, the good old days *lol*

Mail center = love. I liked that job a lot.

You're totally in charge of playing some good music on that campus. You know . . . *whisper* ThouShaltNot ;)
