I think I've officially run out of designated manga shelf-room. My choices are either to put some of my books somewhere else, or put some of my MANGA somwhere else (i.e. box it up and put it in the basement), or buy a new bookshelf. However, I'm sort of running out of space in my bedroom for more shelves. What to do?

In other news, work is still ugh. Mom's in-service days (pre-year faculty meetings, etc) started today; she's department head now (whoo-hoo!) and got the science team all excited about what they'll be doing this year. Erica's off to Alaska for the year; she's studying at the University of Juneau because apparently they have a huge temperate rain forest there (?!?) and she'll be studying lichens and doing advanced winter camping and whatnot.

Time for bed (when did I get on an actual regular sleep schedule? Hazard of having a real job, I suppose...). Later, all!

Taller bookshelves. They work wonders. :p

Sadly, I've already gone that route. I have one bookshelf on top of another, and then a third that goes to the ceiling. I am thinking maybe I will suspend a small shelf on the wall above my bed....maybe I just need a bigger room.

Speaking of not having room for manga, I've been meaning to send you your volumes 5 and 6 of Full Moon and your Orson Scott Card ginormous book of short stories (and a mix cd I've made for you). Wanna email me your mailing address so I can make your shelving situation even more difficult? 0:)

Heh. I emailed it to your personal address. But I've held room for FMoS 5 and 6, so that's all right. ^_^

I solved this problem by going to the container store to buy containers that I could put under my bed filled with manga. The containers are the right size that the manga can fit spine-up. It freed up two shelves, which really helped my poor over-loaded bookshelf.

Oooh, I like that idea. Not that I actually have space under the bed--hazard of waterbeds, it's basically built into the floor--but containers would be stackable, and almost as good as shelves.
