So Miss K of Aromaleigh has just released her newest collection for order. And holy crap, guys, I want to order them SO much. The collection is called Victoria's Revenge and it's very Victorian/steampunk/fantastic, with color names like Scratched Scruples and Mania's Focus and Gaslight Tears. Moreover, the colors are gorgeous (click on the picture to zoom in). Consequently, half of me is trying desperately to remind myself that I said 'no spending money on frivolities while apartment-hunting and -furnishing' and the other half is trying desperately to convince myself that $25 for a sample set wouldn't really hurt, would it? Argh, I have no self-control.

The apartment search goes on, but I think I may go with the studio I looked at last week. I liked it best of all the places I've seen and I know I can afford it - it's a studio, but eh. At least I'll have my own kitchen! I'm looking at another place tomorrow, but the hassle of getting in touch with the owner just to schedule a showing has not impressed me, so it would have to be a really nice apartment.

In unrelated news, I finally watched 'Let The Right One In' last night. It was fantastic, subtle and creepy and heartbreaking. And such brilliant casting! It was funny, they had a short behind the scenes featurette, and it ends with the director saying that he thinks the film became so successful because they were able to make it with artistic freedom and integrity. I couldn't help but wonder if this was a veiled jab at the American remake scheduled to be released later this year. (Google says yes.) Why, Hollywood, WHY?

(Though I must admit, I am interested to see if Chloe Moretz is up to the role of Abby/Eli. And I enjoyed Cloverfield. So the American version might not suck. We'll see.)

(Also-also, are they seriously considering sequels to both Cloverfield and Kick-Ass? No, seriously, WHY?)

Kick-Ass ended with the implication that there would be a sequel, despite there not being a comic sequel. It doesn't really surprise me there, but Cloverfield? Ugh..

And did you have no interest in our apartment? I know that it would mean you'd have to wait a little longer, which doesn't seem to be ideal for you, but we're going to end up needing a third roommate eventually, and you'd be first on the list to take it (:

Okay, I'll grant the Kick-Ass premise. But Cloverfield? Really?

:( If you had space open in your apartment right now, I would totally jump on it. But, I need to be out of my current place by July 1 - preferably by June 1 since the landlord can't guarantee he'll be able to pay the utility bills for June (o.O). And the idea of finding someplace with a month-to-month lease, dealing with setting up internet and whatever other utilities I'd have to pay, organizing all my stuff, and then turning around and moving again a few months later...seems a little counter-intuitive, you know?

If you needed to crash in Buxton you could for a month or two. Keep that in mind (especially since I won't be there in July.)

Even if Ryan and I do move- June is OK in Buxton. If we don't move, every month is OK in Buxton.

Guess it depends on how soon the Shawn issue is handled I guess?

Yeah they look awesome. >< DAMNIT. Need a bigger book for my samples! Luckily I sell those sorts of things ;)
