I hate dialup

amatyultareI'm home, I'm safe, everything's good, except I hate dialup. A lot.
I met my mom's 'friend' Ray (they're not 'going out' or 'in a relationship' but they're sleeping together, so whatever). He's a nice guy, although he reminds me a lot of my dad; that's not surprising since he's also an alcoholic. Oh yes, and Ray has ADD. Still, a pleasant enough guy.
Not much is new here, which is par for the course for central Maine. Oh, and my house is cold--very cold. On Sunday our chimney sort of--exploded? I'm not really sure, but we can't have a fire downstairs (we use wood heat) and I am freezing.
On the bright side, one of my presents for Christmas is money to spend on eBay. Hooray! That's really why I'm so impatient with the internet; I want to order anime and it's taking forever!
Anyway, back to waiting for pages to load. Hope everyone is having a great break so far!

Date: 2004-12-21 11:29 am (UTC)My parents' cable is being all weird, which I think is because I live in the middle of nowhere--but if they were going to wire Sciota for cable, dontcha think they would have made sure it WORKS??? I'd prefer internet that doesn't cut out every hour, especially since I'm going to download some more anime soon.
Anyway--let me know what you buy and how it is!
Oh! When I told Max that you had lent me your grammar book but couldn't find your character book, he said that he'd lend me his character book after he finishes studying it this break, so he'll leave it by my door.
