I forgot a couple of things in my last post. They're mostly really boring, so I'll put them behind a cut.

•I bought a skirt to wear at I-Con! (Yes, K, to wear with *that* shirt.) I haven't worn a skirt (dresses aren't the same somehow) since high school. I also bought a pair of heels to wear with it...and I haven't bought non-sneaker shoes since my freshman year at Colgate. Excitement, excitement--oh, and I found a silver watch for only $10, so I can wear a silver watch with my silver earrings! (I hate mixing metals).

•This may not mean anything to anyone, but we now know the whereabouts of Bobby Fischer.

•Looking through the PortConMaine website, I've found some really cool things to do there in between my work shifts. Probably number one is their Ramune workshop, where you learn three different ways of opening a ramune bottle and get to try all different flavors (so strange, yet it sounds so fun). A close second is the ever popular plushie workshop--I want to make a Pretear plushie! Thank goodness I have until late June to decide which character to make...

•Of more general interest, and therefore not under the cut, is the eternal question: should I make a mixed CD in honor of I-Con? I think it would be fun to make one, but I have a sneaking suspicion y'all are all getting kinda tired of my mixes (especially L, who has what, four of them now?) If you would like a mix, what songs or type of songs would be appropriate? Suggestions are always welcomed!

That shirt requires a skirt?! What, are you asking for it?! *lol* But new clothes, YAY!!!! I decided that the shirt I was going to buy isn't really what I want, and since what I want is $27 and needs to be shipped from Japan (and is backordered anyway), I don't think I'm getting anything. Oh, well, more money to spend in the dealer's room!!!

Oooo, workshops. I still want to make a Ryouko Mitsurugi plushie.

And sure, make a mix--we can play it on the way down!

It's not that it *requires* a skirt, but I felt like wearing one with it...and I'm not asking for it...although I have to say that if anyone is by any chance dressed as a tentacle monster I *need* to have my picture taken with them...

Too bad about the tee-shirt. The bushido one might be nice to wear, though!

Alright, I'll make a mix--although my car has no CD player *or* tape player. :-(

Aren't you riding with us? I think we're taking Angie and Subaru. I still have your converter, btw *lol*

Hmm...I guess I was just assuming I'd take my car to and from I-Con. I can ride with you guys if there's room (remember, nine people in two cars, and we're all going to be buying stuff!) If I do, I call a seat in your car!

Hehe, consider the converter a gift.

I really, really liked the last mix you gave me. "Don't wait for the sun" became my song obsession for a bit, and managed to go almost instantly to my "fave songs" playlist. That's an honor. Anyway, that's a long way of saying I think it would be great if you made a mix for I-con. Anime music/goth/rock/emo/anything that resembles my fave bands (ie, Death Cab for Cutie, Something Corporate, The Shins, etc.) is good for me. I'm pretty flexible, as long as it's not rap or country or pop ballads or REALLY heavy metal. I want to hear more Postal Service & Unwritten Law, personally, because I don't have albums by either of them.

I'm glad you liked the mixed CD! 'Don't Wait For The Sun' is a favorite of mine too...ah, early American Hi-Fi...

I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind, but if you want I can also burn copies of the Unwritten Law cd I have (Elva) and the first and only, so far, Postal Service album (Give Up) if you want them.
