Open up my eager eyes

I just drove back from NY and I'm pretty tired, so this will be a quick update. Went to I-Con, had an amazing time, especially hanging out with my friends--I love you guys! Bought a ridiculous amount of stuff which I now have to somehow conceal from my mother, who was under the impression that I wasn't going to buy anything there, although I don't know how she got that idea *looks sweet and innocent*...the list includes
•three wall scrolls (Furuba, Kare Kano, and Lain)
•a laminated poster (Furuba)
• two pencil boards (Tokyo Babylon and Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, just to be crazy)
•two soundtracks (Gravitation and Noir)
•a deck of cards (also Furuba, because I'm obsessed)
•four books (Green Rider by Kristen Britain, who lives in Maine!, The Weyrs of Pern by Anne McCaffrey, Destination:Void by Frank Herbert, the 'Dune' guy, and one of the Robert Aspirin Myth books)
•and the entire series (totally legal and U.S. release!) of Furuba (like I said, I'm obsessed...and it was a great deal!)
I also went to a few panels, including a couple of 'sex' ones (what's better than one peanut butter sandwich? Two peanut butter sandwiches!) and after-midnight hentai, which was...amusing, to say the least. But yes, the best part was being with my friends *big virtual hugs* That includes Joey Lee! I had forgotten how much fun he is to hang out with.
Came back to Colgate, spent the night, and then left a lot later than I had planned due to lunch with everyone and a long conversation with B, S, and M sometimes about anime and related topics. Yay Nekocon! I also got K to book our room. I-Con was just a day ago and I'm already so excited! But, there's a lot of time (and PortConMaine!) in between. Of course, that's all to the good, since it means I can...work on my Hinoto costume! Must search for wigs.
However, now I'm *really* tired (this is a longer update than I planned), so I think I'll go to bed. Later, all!

Date: 2005-04-12 05:40 am (UTC)I can't decide which of the sex panels I enjoyed more . . . Since I'm just getting into fanfiction but I've been a gamer geek for years, it was probably "Sex and Satanism in D&D," which was sooooo funny and surprisingly useful.
YAY NEKOCON!!!! In the con hotel!!! IN THE FREAKING CON HOTEL!!!! *swoon* I can't take the excitement.
