Well, okay, my computer my feels energized. But, close enough! I.E. I got my replacement power cord. Woot! Still annoyed about how freakin' expensive it was, but whatever.
Work is eh....there are ridiculously few calls, though, so half the time we're sitting around waiting for someone to call us, which is kinda nice. Oh, and I thought of a nice little addendum to the Shocking Tales. Pop quiz: how long is 'a moment' according to Dell? Is it a) one second b) 5 seconds c) 15 seconds d) 30 seconds e) one minute. Cast your votes! Winners get a cookie. Truly, I'll bring them to Nekocon or mail them if you're not at Nekocon.
Which reminds me....HUGE HUGS and big thank yous to everyone to emailed me, called me, posted in LJ, or sent me something for my birthday. It made me so happy! I love you guys so much!
I feel like ranting about a decision I just learned about. Maine has decided to replace the 11th grade Maine Educational Assessments (the Maine tests that go towards the national standards as well as Maine's learning standards) with....the SAT. I don't even want to go into all the reasons why this is the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time, so just three quick reasons. 1) The MEAs tested all major areas, unlike the SAT (science, math, the arts, etc). 2) The MEAs were knowledge/education tests whereas the SAT is an aptitude test. 3) The state has not actually set what a 'passing' score is. Mom's pretty upset about it, of course.
I have little else to write about, so...a quiz.
Later, all! I'll be on AIM for a bit if you want to talk.

You fit in with: Agnosticism Your ideals mostly resemble those of an Agnostic. You are fairly ambivalent towards any religion or spiritual connection. You lead a very busy life and find that religion and spirituality are unnecessary to your life. 60% scientific. 40% reason-oriented. |

Date: 2005-10-20 02:42 am (UTC)As for that quiz, I've taken it twice and I can't seem to make it tell me I'm an atheist! It wants to make me agnostic, and I am NOT agnostic. Thus, I doubt its interprative capabilities.
Sorry for those last multi-syllabic words. I'm in paper-writing mode!

Date: 2005-10-20 02:56 am (UTC)I have a friend who writes SAT questions. I kind of recall the entire POINT of the SAT being to give colleges a single measure to compare students to, not to test knowledge. Hmm.
