Well, I finished 'Last Exile'. Um....

Well, it's very *entertaining*, and the animation and CGI is quite good. A fun ride, to be sure--but when you start thinking about it.....well, whatever.

I think I'll know better what I think of it after a good night's sleep. Later, all!

Moral of the story...it's awful...there's no reason for the villain to die so crappily...she was WAY too cool for that!

Additional morals:

Dio and Alex? Kicked ass. Why did all of the cool characters die?

Powerful older women apparently become randomly attracted to 14 year old boys. Riiiiight.

Maestro was already dead, the Guild ships had all gone bye-bye, there was NO REAL NEED for Exile by the end.

Alvis=teh cute. But what was up with her bun things?

The video game that this was based on probably had more backstory than the anime ended up with (name one thing that was explained)

Trust me when I say, it's sketchier in Last Exile. For one thing, the women (one in particular) is a *lot* older, like in her late 20s. Two, would you actually start making out with a real 14 year old Rock? I didn't think so....
